What Self-Ticketing is

Self-Ticketing is a process for approved clients. Authorised people on your site capture evidence of a contravention using a smartphone or tablet and submit it to Legend. Legend reviews the submission and manages the notice and the administration that follows.

Who it is designed for

• Landowners with occasional or unpredictable unauthorised parking
• Sites with a team on the ground who can record what they see
• Properties where permanent patrols or cameras are not needed

How it works

1. Approval

   Your site is assessed, signage is put in place and your authorised users are approved.

2. Capture

   An authorised user records the vehicle and the evidence in the app.

3. Review

   Legend checks the evidence against the parking conditions on site.

4. Administration

   Legend manages the notice, queries and appeals administration.

Evidence and compliance requirements

• Signage must be in place and clearly visible before any ticketing begins.
• Each report needs proper photographic evidence of the vehicle and the contravention.
• Reports must reflect the parking conditions displayed on site, including any permits or exemptions.
• Tickets should only be reported for genuine contraventions. Indiscriminate ticketing is not supported.

The exact method varies by property. No single tool, including ANPR, is right for every site.
